NEW YEAR NEW VISION

Embracing Your Power in the New Year:

Setting Intentions & Goals

“It’s about owning your power and showing up for yourself in a meaningful, sustainable way.” OR “Forget the ‘new you’- step into the powerful, already amazing Queen you are.”

Every new year brings another round of “new year, new me” buzz, filled with the usual chatter about resolutions – eat healthier, exercise more, learn a new skill.

What if we did things a bit different? This year, instead of forcing resolutions that don’t stick, let’s focus on what truly matters – embracing our power, setting goals that align with our values, and making space for what lights us up. It’s not about becoming a “new you.” You’re already a queen– it’s about owning your power and showing up for yourself in a meaningful, sustainable way.

HERE ARE A FEW TIPS ON

How you can create a vision for the year that feels empowering and authentic.

  • Let's be honest - if your goals don't align with what actually matters to you, they're just going to feel like another chore on your to-do list. The key? Get honest about your values and make sure your goals support them.

If you value connection, instead of setting a goal to network more, focus on strengthening relationships you actually care about.

Tip: Write down 3-5 values - things like balance, family, and creativity - and ask yourself how your goals support them. If they don't, it might be time to reassess.

  • Intentions create a sense of purpose and guide your daily actions, allowing you to stay flexible while still making progress. Instead of focusing solely on outcomes, think about how you want to feel and grow.

For example, instead of saying "I'm going to the gym five times a week", try reframing to,

"I want to feel strong and energized".

This way, whether you hit the gym, dance around your room, or go for a walk with a friend, you're still moving towards what matters.

Tip: Write down 3-5 words that describe how you want to feel and use them to guide your goals.

  • It's the tiny, consistent actions that lead to the biggest changes. Instead of trying to overhaul your entire life overnight, focus on the small shifts that fit into your daily routine.

Want to focus on self-care? Start with five minutes in the morning just for you - whether it's stretching, deep breathing, or enjoying a cup of tea. Pick one small habit you can commit this month and build from there.

    Progress over perfection, always.

Tip: Try habit stacking - pair a new habit with something you already do. This increases your chances of following through.

For example, if you make coffee or tea every morning, add a new habit like a quick five-minute stretch right after. It's a simple, effective way to build consistency without feeling overwhelmed.

  • Bubble baths and face masks are nice, but true self-care goes beyond relaxation. It's about giving yourself some serious love - body, mind, and soul.

It's about setting boundaries, hitting pause when you need it, and making time for things that light you up. It's about fueling yourself with what gives you energy, whether that's a hobby, a moment to take a deep breath, or ditching the things and people that drain you.

It's not about being selfish - it's about showing up for yourself so you can show up better for everything else.

Tip: Make a "self-care menu" - a list of things that make you smile and bring you back to life. Pick one thing each week to focus on and notice how your energy shifts when you prioritize YOU!

  • It's time to hype yourself up! Gratitude is like fuel for your personal growth. Celebrating your wins builds your confidence to tackle even bigger goals. Appreciate what you've already accomplished.

No win is too small to celebrate - whether it's drinking more water, conquering a challenging task, or simply making it through a tough day. Don't wait for a huge milestone to cheer yourself on.

This mindset shift helps you build momentum and reminds you of your progress. Celebrate everything, seriously!

Tip: Start a "YASS QUEEN" jar. Each day, jot down one thing you're proud of or grateful for, no matter how small it may seem. Whenever you need a confidence boost or just a reminder of how far you've come, pull out a note and read it.

These little moments add up, and they’ll fuel you to keep moving forward.

Forget the "new you" - step into the powerful, already amazing queen you are. You've got everything you need to create a year that's empowering, authentic, and full of joy.

Own your power, set intentions that align with your values, and celebrate every step of the way. The best is already within you - it's time to let it thrive!
